George Michael attended a press conference at the Royal Opera House in London 11th of May 2011 where he announced he was returning to the stage in the company of a full orchestra for a 47-date tour of Europe this year. He announced the tour and said he felt "re-energised after my recent troubles". "I've always wanted to sing with this kind of backing so I could really, really use my voice and not just concentrate on keeping thousands and thousands of people really excited for two and a half hours," he also said. "I've probably got one more of those tours in me but right now I'd like to have something slightly different." George Michael said the tour would feature reinterpreted songs that are personal favourites of his. 'Symphonica: The Orchestral Tour' will begin in the Czech Republic on August 22 and end in England on December 12. The show has one more date at the Paris Opera on April 29 next year, which George Michael said would probably kick off a second leg touring other parts of the world. In the gaps between the tours, George Michael said he would work on his new dance-themed album, gathering together a collective of gay artists. Arctic Monkeys On Tour In UK!

Arctic Monkeys have been confirmed as headliners for the Benicassim Festival 2011 along the side The Strokes, Arcade Fire and Primal Scream. They have also been confirmed for Oxegen 2011, Super Bock Super Rock 2011, V Festival 2011 and Rock Werchter. They confirmed on 7 February that they are playing the Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield on 10 and 11 June, support includes Miles Kane, Anna Calvi, The Vaccines, Dead Sons and Mabel Love. They will also be playing at Lollapalooza 5–7 August 2011. On 21 August, they will be playing at Lowlands, the Netherlands.
On 31 March 2011, the band announced via their website the release of their fourth album's first single, titled "Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair". The single released as a digital download on 11th of April, and on Vinyl with "Brick by Brick" on 16 April for Record Store Day. A version of the single with 2 B-sides was released on 7 and 10 inch vinyl on 30 May. The band allowed fans to listen to the entire album on their website before deciding about whether to purchase it or not. On 4 July 2011, the band announced via their website that the second single to be taken from ‘Suck it and See’ would be ‘The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala’ and that it would be released 15 August 2011.

I was really quite anxious for this book since book number 3 (Illusions) ended with quite the unexpected cliff hanger... unexpected because I thought THAT book would end the series, but no, it's actually this one!

So this one picks up right were the last one left off with our heroes, David, Laurel and Tamani, trying to figure out what's going on with this new girl that has been going to their school and what she has to do with the bad "guy" who has been plaguing them now for several books.

Most of this book then turns into a battle in Avalon, some of it I found sufficiently exciting, but for most of it I just didn't care. So I was disappointed in that. I guess it was just to much battle/fighting descriptions for my liking.

However, there are some cool David bits, and suddenly he has a much bigger role in the whole scheme of things than the previous books, so if you are a David fan, you will enjoy that! There were also some pretty cool King Arthur tie-ins (Avalon after all, yes?) that I didn't see coming which I particularly enjoyed.

Once the battle talk is over and we get down to some more interesting things, I was right there again and involved in the story. The growth and the insights into all the characters at this point is really quite fun and it's a bit bitter sweet to see how everything wraps up. I will say one thing, Laurel does make her love choice and the triangle is over!

The author then has a note at the end of the book, just before an epilogue of sorts, that warns you against reading the epilogue, but I say... read it anyway! Then, come and let me know what you think. :)

Bottom line: All in all, a very fun sweet and unique YA fairy story series that I enjoyed throughout.

PTA Movie Night at the School!

The PTA sponsored Movie Night at the school. It was open to Kindergarten through the 2nd grades. We watched a bunch of Christmas movies, and sold snacks.
As you can see the children were really really excited.

This is Melissa May our PTA leader. She was busy popping popcorn all night. We just could never have enough. Also, on the table beside her was some other things we were selling at the concession stand.

This is Jonathon donating his time, and energy to this wonderful cause....LOL

Kids love the idea of hanging with their friends in the cafeteria, watching movies, being able to sit where they want, and they can also talk to each other....good times.


Noah just had to have these fun glasses.


"Give Me A Kiss"....LOLAll Madi wanted to do is have a snack and sit by Avery.

But this little boy was sitting by Avery....LOL
Noah found another little person that loved the glasses as much as he did.




This cute little one fell asleep at the very beginning, and slept through snacks, and movies....He was so upset when it was time to go...he felt like he missed everything.
Madi thought the glasses were great too!

The three of them just couldn't get enough....LOL

I give this wonderful event 2 thumbs up....LOL
